Firefighter Eva Kasinskas Completes CFA Intro Program

CFD Junior Firefighter Eva Kasinskas recently completed the Introduction to the Fire Service Program at the Connecticut Fire Academy. The CFA runs this popular program every summer as "an immersive, residential program designed to provide youths between the ages of 14 and 17 with an opportunity to explore the Fire Service. A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork, character, self and mutual respect.” The last day of the program included a graduation ceremony and a skills demonstration for families and friends.

The Cheshire Fire Department’s Junior Firefighter program is open to 16-18 year olds who have not yet completed high school. We’re always looking for more kids to get involved. Contact recruiting@cheshirefd.org to learn more about our great program!
