Busy Day For Cheshire Firefighters

Tuesday, January 26, 2016 proved to be a busy day for Cheshire Firefighters. The day started with an early morning request for mutual aid to the Town of Prospect. A series of incidents followed throughout the day that included a structure fire on West Johnson Avenue, motor vehicle accident on South Brooksvale Road, numerous alarm activations, and a request to assist the Police Department with a hazardous condition standby. Truck 2 after operations were completed on West Johnson Avenue.
Cheshire Engine 6 on scene at a small structure fire in a commercial building on West Johnson Avenue.
A small fire in the second floor bathroom ceiling was quickly extinguished by Cheshire firefighters.
Immediately after learning the structure fire, units were dispatched to the South Brooksvale Road for a vehicle collision with a fuel leak. Firefighters found a canteen truck that had collided with a tree.
