Mobile Fire Training Trailer Training
By Director of Training
November 14, 2015
The New Haven County regional mobile fire training trailer has arrived in Cheshire for the month of November. This very unique mobile training facility allows Cheshire firefighters expanded opportunities to train in a number of fire ground scenarios.
The regional fire trailer is managed by the New Haven Fire Department and travels throughout the County to allow local Fire Departments the opportunity to have expanded and unique training evolutions that include live burns, roof ventilation, and search and rescue methods.
During the past week, all Cheshire fire stations and fire personnel have been actively working with the trailer. Training evolutions will continue during the upcoming weeks and throughout the month of November.
Special thanks to Associate Member John Homer for contributing the photos and YouTube video.
Cheshire firefighters stage a hose line and prepare to enter the live burn area of the trailer.
Firefighters work to advance homeliness inside the burn trailer.
More than 50 Cheshire firefighters have participated in the live burn and fire training evolutions during the past week.
